What the Data Science Virtual Internship Program is
The Data Science Virtual Internship Program at PrimrIQ takes you from cleaning messy data to shipping a model someone can use. You will work on project briefs set in real business contexts: churn, pricing, demand and risk.
A mentor reads every submission and tells you what a senior data scientist would have done differently. You finish with a portfolio of models you can explain, not just notebooks you ran.

Is this suitable for beginners?
Yes. The first phase covers Python and statistics from the start, so you only need basic computer skills and willingness to practise.
What kind of projects will I build?
Five briefs such as customer churn prediction, sales forecasting and credit risk scoring, each built on a realistic dataset.
Do I need a powerful laptop?
No. Any laptop that runs a browser works; the heavier work runs in free cloud notebooks.
What roles does this prepare me for?
Junior data scientist, data analyst and ML analyst roles, and it gives you a base for later AI specialisation.
How much time do I need each week?
Plan for 8–10 hours a week across sessions, project work and mentor feedback.
