What the Financial Analytics Virtual Internship Program is
The Financial Analytics Virtual Internship Program at PrimrIQ works on Indian companies and markets. You will calculate ratios from three years of balance sheets, analyse returns and volatility for Nifty 50 stocks, and build a ten-year DCF model to value a renewable energy company.
Later briefs cover portfolio risk with a Monte Carlo simulation, a credit-risk scorecard for a lender, a CFO dashboard in Power BI and an equity research report on a sector. A mentor checks your assumptions, not just your formulas.

Do I need a finance or commerce background?
It helps but is not required. The first brief walks through reading a balance sheet and the ratios that matter.
What will I actually build?
Briefs include a ratio analysis, a stock volatility study, a DCF valuation, a portfolio optimisation, a credit scorecard, a CFO dashboard and a sector report.
Is this about trading?
No. It covers analysis and valuation used in corporate finance, research and lending, not trading strategies.

Which tools do I need?
Excel and Python for modelling, and Power BI Desktop for the dashboard brief. All are free to use.
